We are looking to hire an Automation Specialist – PowerApps to support the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions for one of the leading semi-government organizations in Dubai.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 8 months (renewable) and a remote work environment.
The Automation Specialist will be responsible for delivering end-to-end automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, build scalable solutions, and manage the full lifecycle from design through deployment and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Development – Design, build, and deploy automation solutions using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) and Power Automate (cloud and desktop flows).
- Process Automation – Develop workflows for approvals, notifications, document processing, and system integrations across business functions.
- Requirements Gathering – Collaborate with business teams and SMEs to capture requirements and translate them into functional and technical designs.
- Application Development – Build responsive Power Apps integrated with Dataverse, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 services.
- AI & Copilot Enablement – Leverage AI Builder and Copilot Studio to enhance automation through document processing, intelligent routing, and chatbot capabilities.
- Integration – Connect solutions with enterprise systems such as APIs, Microsoft 365, and other business applications.
- Testing & Deployment – Perform unit testing, support UAT cycles, and ensure smooth production deployment with proper documentation.
- Quality Assurance – Ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with governance and security standards.
- Continuous Improvement – Monitor deployed solutions and optimize workflows for performance, scalability, and user experience.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in automation and Power Platform development
- Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Experience working with APIs, connectors, and system integrations
- Exposure to AI Builder, Copilot Studio, or chatbot development is highly preferred
- Understanding of business process automation across Finance, HR, or Procurement functions
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel)
- Basic knowledge of JSON, REST APIs, and scripting (PowerShell/Python) is an advantage
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
