Primary Skills

Key Responsibilities
- Automation Design & Development: Build, test, and maintain complex automation commands and catalogs within the SAP Automation Pilot environment.
- API Integration: Architect and manage seamless API integrations between SAP Automation Pilot and external systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, or Azure DevOps).
- Workflow Orchestration: Automate repetitive operational tasks such as system restarts, health checks, data cleanup, and resource scaling.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Monitor execution logs and debug failed automation triggers to ensure high availability of automated processes.
- Operational Optimization: Identify bottleneck manual processes and transform them into automated, self-healing scripts.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation for custom commands and integration architectures to ensure knowledge transfer across the global team.
Technical Skill Set
Core Requirements:
Overall 10+ years of SAP Experience with
- SAP Automation Pilot: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience building custom commands, managing inputs/outputs, and utilizing the built-in catalog.
- API & Integration: Strong proficiency in REST API consumption, JSON/YAML data structures, and authentication protocols (OAuth2, Basic Auth, API Keys).
- SAP BTP Environment: Solid understanding of SAP BTP subaccounts, service keys, and destination configurations.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Bash to augment standard automation capabilities when custom logic is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Observability Tools: Experience integrating with monitoring tools like SAP Cloud ALM, Dynatrace, or New Relic.
- DevOps Principles: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Understanding of Hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) as they relate to SAP BTP.
