Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alwar for an Automation Mechatronics and Machine Building professional. The role involves designing, developing, and integrating automation and mechatronic systems for heavy machinery and equipment used in aggregates and minerals processing. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing technical drawings, selecting components, programming and testing control systems, and ensuring mechanical, electrical, and automation elements work together reliably and safely. The professional will collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to support machine assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of machinery performance. Additional tasks include documenting system configurations, adhering to safety and environmental standards, and supporting upgrades and modifications in line with Metso Outotec's sustainability and efficiency goals.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in automation, mechatronics, and machine building, with experience in integrating mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Proficiency with industrial control technologies (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators) and familiarity with automation software and tools.
- Ability to read and create technical drawings and schematics, and use CAD or related design tools for mechanical and electrical layouts.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards, reliability principles, and best practices for commissioning and testing automated machinery.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues in complex systems and propose practical solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in design, production, and service.
- Experience in heavy industry, mining, aggregates, or metals processing is an advantage, as is exposure to sustainable and energy-efficient technologies.
