Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Playwright Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Playwright, and REST Assured to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks for web and API testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with Java.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks.
- Perform API automation testing using REST Assured.
- Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration test suites.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for issue resolution.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, test data, and automation reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
- Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
Required Skills
- 4 to 10 years of experience in Software Testing and Automation.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
- Experience in API Automation Testing using REST Assured.
- Strong knowledge of TestNG/JUnit.
- Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket version control systems.
- Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience in performance or security testing is an added advantage.
