Job Summary:**
The Automation Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. will assist in the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems and processes. This entry-level role supports senior engineers in optimizing production efficiency and quality through automation solutions.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the research, design, and development of new automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and software.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document automation processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and solve technical issues.
- Participate in training and continuous learning to enhance automation skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards in automation projects.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, and sensor technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
- Prior internship or project experience in automation is advantageous.
