Automation Engineering Associate Advisor - HIH - Evernorth

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work across multiple project workstreams including data partners, integrated systems, and external vendors.
• Query and analyze data to verify results, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance test automation suites.
• Design and implement automated tests to meet speed-to-market goals while ensuring quality.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automated tests and supporting artifacts for CI/CD pipelines to reduce cycle time.
• Escalate risks and issues promptly for effective planning and stakeholder communication.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing when required to validate complex scenarios and ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Identify, document, and resolve defects through meticulous reporting and tracking.
• Adhere to Quality Engineering best practices and drive improvements in testing processes.
• Enhance the automation platform based on evolving needs.

Qualifications

• 8-11 years of experience in testing and ensuring quality of web and mobile applications.
• Strong experience in manual testing and exploratory testing alongside automation.
• Proficient in analyzing business requirements, designing test automation suites, and defect tracking.
• Expertise in agile methodologies and principles for efficient testing practices.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira) for planning and tracking.
• Solid programming foundation, preferably in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Extensive automation experience with Cypress, Playwright, or WebDriverIO.
• Mobile automation experience using WebDriverIO.
• Familiarity with Git-based source control tools (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Experience with SQL and backend/database testing.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman and SoapUI.
• Exposure to AWS services (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda).
• Healthcare domain knowledge is a plus.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
