Automation Engineer

Cradlepoint is seeking a talented and dedicated Automation Engineer to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for automating tasks identified and outlined within our customers managed services delivery scope, adhering to approved requirements and high-level design (HLD) documents. You will own the responsibility for providing timely updates to all affected partners regarding any new factors impacting designed or deployed automation applications.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Be actively involved in the Development and Integration of automation solutions.
• Engage in robust Problem-solving and critical thinking to address complex automation challenges.
• Focus consistently on Delivering Results & Meeting Customer Expectations through effective automation.
• Clearly share all knowledge regarding owned automation applications, including code, application architecture, user-IDs, passwords, and security-related parameters, with all appropriate partners.
• Take ownership of timely updates to all affected partners concerning any new factors impacting any automation application, whether newly crafted or already deployed.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Primary Competence Domain: Strong background in Software Development.
• Programming Skills:
• Perl/Python basic programming skills for MATE tool, with knowledge and development experience.
• Software development experience in MATE is an added advantage.
• Java programming skills with development experience primarily on UNIX / Linux platform.
• Web Technologies: Knowledge and development experience with web technologies.
• Networking: Good proven understanding of packet networking. Development experience in this area is a definite plus.
• Databases (Good to Have): Knowledge and skills on any RDBMS, preferably on SQL.
• Telecommunication Networks (Added Advantage): Basic familiarity with mobile telecommunication networks, their architecture, and mechanisms.
