Job Description Automation Architect (TOSCA) Banking

Position: Automation Architect TOSCA

Location: MBP, Navi Mumbai - QualityKiosk Technologies

Experience: 1015 years (minimum 5+ years in TOSCA)

Industry: Banking / BFSI preferred

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Architect (TOSCA) with strong expertise in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale automation frameworks for complex banking applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on TOSCA experience, strong architectural knowledge, and a proven ability to work with cross-functional technology & business teams across Core Banking, Digital Channels, Payments, and surrounding systems.

This role demands strong banking domain awareness, the ability to translate business processes into automation assets, and leadership in driving large-scale quality transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Architecture & Strategy

Design end-to-end automation architecture using TOSCA, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

Define enterprise automation standards, best practices, object models, and governance frameworks.

Build roadmap for automation adoption, ROI tracking, and continuous improvement.

2. TOSCA Implementation & Technical Leadership

Lead the design of TOSCA automation frameworks, test assets, reusable components, and accelerators.

Architect solutions for Web, Mobile, API, Database, and End-to-End system flows using TOSCA modules.

Implement CI/CD integration with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar toolchains.

3. Banking Domain Automation

Translate banking product workflows into automation scripts for:

Core Banking (CASA, Loans, Payments)

Digital Channels (Mobile & Internet Banking)

Cards & Payments

Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory workflows

Identify automation opportunities across complex banking journeys such as customer onboarding, KYC, account servicing, transactions, and digital journeys.

4. Stakeholder & Team Management

Work with business owners, product teams, QA teams, and development leads to define automation scope & priorities.

Lead and mentor automation engineers on TOSCA best practices.

Collaborate with DevOps, performance engineering, and environment teams for seamless automation runs.

5. Automation Governance & Quality Management

Own automation metrics: coverage, defect leakage, script stability, execution health.

Conduct regular reviews of automation framework health.

Drive compliance with internal QA governance and banking regulatory requirements.

Must-Have Skills

5+ years hands-on TOSCA experience (Test Design, Execution, API, Query, TOSCA DI, TDS, TCS Frameworks).

Strong experience designing automation frameworks in large enterprise environments.

Experience integrating TOSCA with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).

Deep understanding of automation best practices, object modeling, risk-based testing.

Hands-on with Web, Mobile, API automation using TOSCA.

Strong SQL knowledge and ability to work with databases.

Banking Domain Experience (Preferred)

Experience automating journeys in Mobile/Internet Banking, Core Banking, Cards/Payments.

Understanding of BFSI processes, controls, and regulatory expectations.

Experience working with leading banks in India, APAC, or Middle East preferred.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with complementary automation tools (Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, UFT).

Exposure to Performance Testing or DevOps integration.

Experience with service virtualization, test data management, and synthetic data generation.

Knowledge of API gateways, message queues (Kafka), microservices testing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

TOSCA Certifications (AS1, AS2, TDS, TQL) strongly preferred.

ISTQB or equivalent quality engineering certifications are an added advantage.
