Essential Skills

Desired Skills

Experience

How To Find And Screen

  • Prioritize real shopfloor / PLC / SCADA time over pure IT — this role lives on the floor.
  • Core stack: OPC UA + MQTT + Kepware / Ignition; probe depth on at least two of these.
  • Ask them to explain a UNS, or how they'd normalize data from three different machine brands.
  • Lower grade (GG2.2) so slightly less experience is fine — hands-on connectivity is non-negotiable.

Benefits

The gist

The OT-side hands. Gets the machines talking, gets the data off the floor, and builds the supervision dashboards. The most shopfloor-heavy role on the pod.
