Automated Tester (Chn)

Job Summary:

• We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer who is passionate about improving software quality, influencing better software design, and driving test automation excellence. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage, performance, and production stability, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, customer-centric products.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote bug prevention strategies, and ensure system testability and security.
• Actively participate in the development process by writing and maintaining automated tests including unit, integration, functional, performance, and interoperability tests.
• Support the team in designing reliable and reusable test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with team members to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
• Participate in code and test reviews with the Scrum team to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Own and deliver entire features from concept to deployment in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute ideas to improve product quality, enhance automation coverage, and learn new technologies and tools.

Years of Experience:

• 6 - 9 years of experience in full end 2 end test automation

Educational Qualification & Certifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical certifications in Java or AWS would be an advantage.

Skill Set Required:

Must Have:

• Strong hands-on experience in test automation framework development using tools like Cypress or Selenium .
• Expertise in REST API / Web Services validation automation .
• Proficiency in Java , JavaScript , TypeScript , or similar languages.
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Experience with Rest Assured framework.
• Exposure to AWS cloud environments .
• Familiarity with Behavior-Driven and Test-Driven Development (BDD/TDD).
• Ability to learn complex systems quickly and contribute effectively to test strategy discussions.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
• Exposure to cloud-based test environments .
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence technical discussions.
• Curiosity to explore new automation trends and continuously improve testing practices.
