About this opportunity:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is responsible for 247 monitoring, fault detection, incident management, and service assurance of network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance as per defined SLAs.
What you will do:
- Monitor network, servers, and applications using NMS/EMS tools
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve network alarms and incidents
- Perform L1/L2 troubleshooting for network, transmission, and service issues
- Raise, update, and manage trouble tickets with internal teams and vendors
- Escalate incidents as per defined escalation matrix
- Coordinate with field teams, OEMs, and service providers
- Track SLA/KPI compliance and ensure timely resolution
- Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance
- Prepare incident reports, RCA inputs, and shift handover notes
- Support change activities and maintenance windows
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science
- Basic IP networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing)
- Knowledge of telecom networks (2G/3G/4G/5G preferred)
- Familiarity with SNMP, GTP, SIP, HTTP
- Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, Netcool, Nagios)
- Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA)
- CCNA / CCNP
