Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Autodesk Vault Administrator with CAD experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of all the Autodesk CAD applications and Vault Professional (PDM) software systems. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations of engineering and design workflows, managing data and configurations, and providing technical support to end users.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and support Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault environments.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in both CAD and Vault.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product development teams to ensure proper data management and integration of CAD models.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the CAD and PDM systems.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or enhancements.
  • Assist in software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in both CAD and PDM.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure system backup and recovery procedures are in place.
  • Support cross-functional teams with integration of Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault with other enterprise applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault Professional administration.
  • Proficient in database management, system security, and backup procedures.
  • Familiarity with system integrations, data migration, and software updates.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of other related tools (e.g., CAD, PLM, PDM, ERP systems) is a plus, such as Teamcenter with TCAA.
  • Prior experience in system administration or IT support is preferred.
  • Certification in Inventor or Vault administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with C#, .net, XML, python or other scripting languages for automation is a plus.
  • Experience in project management or system deployment is a plus.
