AutoCAD Draftsman translates conceptual designs and engineering sketches into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings and blueprints. They collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs meet industry standards and project specifications.Core ResponsibilitiesDrafting: Convert rough sketches, hand drawings, and verbal instructions into detailed CAD models and blueprints.Design Execution: Produce accurate plans, elevations, sections, and structural details.Collaboration: Work directly with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand design objectives.Revisions: Adjust and modify existing drawings based on client feedback and engineering changes.Compliance: Ensure all drawings, layouts, and materials adhere to industry standards and building codes.Documentation: Manage, organize, and maintain digital drawing libraries, specifications, and project records.Key Skills & RequirementsSoftware: High proficiency in Autodesk's AutoCAD. (3D modeling, SolidWorks, or Revit knowledge is a plus).Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies in dimensions and scale.Soft Skills: Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills to meet project deadlines.Education/Experience: Typically requires a relevant diploma, vocational certificate, or degree in drafting, architecture, or engineering.
