AutoCAD Draftsman creates precise 2D/3D technical drawings and blueprints for engineering, architecture, and manufacturing projects using AutoCAD software, translating concepts from architects and engineers into detailed plans, ensuring accuracy, compliance with standards, and managing updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:Create Technical Drawings: Use AutoCAD to generate detailed plans, layouts, and schematics for buildings, machinery, or other structures.Collaborate: Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand requirements and incorporate feedback.Translate Designs: Convert rough sketches, specifications, and calculations into accurate digital drawings.Ensure Accuracy: Verify that all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulations.Revise & Update: Modify existing drawings to reflect design changes or new information.Compile Documentation: Prepare related technical documents, such as material lists (BOMs) and specifications.Maintain Standards: Manage drawing templates and maintain an organized database of design files. Essential Skills & Qualifications:Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).Strong understanding of drafting principles, dimensioning, and tolerances.Attention to detail and precision.Ability to read and interpret engineering/architectural plans.Good communication and teamwork skills.
