Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Autocad Draftsman role based in Puducherry. The Autocad Draftsman will prepare precise architectural drawings, technical drawings, and shop drawings based on design concepts, sketches, and specifications provided by the design team. Daily tasks include developing and updating CAD drawings, coordinating with architects and engineers, and ensuring that drawings comply with building codes and project standards. The role involves organizing drawing sets, maintaining drawing documentation, and incorporating feedback from design reviews and site inputs. The Autocad Draftsman will also assist in preparing drawings for approvals, tender packages, and construction, while collaborating closely with the broader project team to support timely and accurate project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in technical drawing and architectural drawings, with the ability to translate design concepts into accurate CAD documentation.
• Experience preparing and detailing shop drawings and construction-ready drawing sets.
• Solid understanding of architectural principles and building systems, with exposure to architecture workflows and standards.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with additional design tools (e.g., Revit, SketchUp) is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work collaboratively in an office and project team setting.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to evolving design practices, and engage with research-driven architectural processes.
