Most drafting jobs treat you like a tracing machine. Copy the sketch, don't think. This isn't that.

We design bridges, metro viaducts, deep foundations and retaining structures. The drawing isn't a picture of the structure — it's the instruction to build it. So we need someone who can hold a structure in their head.

The real test: given a plan and a section, can you see the thing in 3D and rotate it Can you spot that the elevation doesn't agree with the plan before anyone tells you Some people can do this. Most can't. It has little to do with your marks.

What we need

• Diploma or Class 12 pass. That's the whole paper requirement.
• Proper AutoCAD — layers, blocks, xrefs, scale, plotting. Not just draw commands.
• You can build the object in your head from flat views
• You notice when two drawings quietly contradict each other
• Care with dimensions. A wrong number on a sheet costs money on site.
