Position : AutoCAD Designer
Location : Manesar (Filter Division)
We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Designer with strong expertise in sheet metal design. The role involves creating detailed 2D/3D drawings, developing fabrication-ready models, and collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of sheet metal components and assemblies using AutoCAD and related CAD tools.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, bending details, cutting layouts, welding details, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Work closely with production teams to ensure drawings are feasible for manufacturing, punching/laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating, etc.
- Modify and update designs as per engineering changes and customer requirements.
- Understand and implement GD&T, tolerances, material thickness, and sheet metal standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for feasibility and manufacturability improvements.
- Ensure drawings comply with quality standards and company guidelines.
- Maintain documentation and support in product development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sheet metal design (depending on your requirement).
- Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD;
- knowledge of SolidWorks or Inventor is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, finishing, assembly).
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing or sheet metal industry.
- Knowledge of ERP systems for BOM and production routing.
- Experience with electrical enclosures, HVAC, cabinets, or industrial equipment (optional based on company).
