Job Description

Company Description

Future Millwork LLC specializes in bridging the gap between drafting and manufacturing in the North American millwork industry. We create production-ready drawings based on real-world fabrication knowledge, helping millwork shops, contractors, and design teams across the US and Canada achieve accurate, efficient, and reliable project delivery.

Our work follows AWI standards, client requirements, and project specifications, with a strong focus on reducing RFIs, revisions, and production delays. At Future Millwork, we believe good drafting goes beyond drawing — it requires an understanding of how designs are actually built and installed.

Role Description

Future Millwork LLC is looking for an Entry-Level AutoCAD Drafter to join our team in Dera Bassi. This is a full-time, on-site position suitable for candidates with 0–1 year of experience who are interested in building a career in architectural millwork drafting and design.

The selected candidate will assist in preparing detailed millwork and casework drawings using AutoCAD. Day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing architectural drawings and project information, preparing elevations, plans, sections, and details, making drawing revisions, and coordinating with senior designers and project teams.

This role provides an opportunity to learn industry standards, millwork construction methods, drafting practices, and production requirements while working on projects for clients across North America.

Qualifications

  • 0–1 year of experience in AutoCAD drafting; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, dimensions, plans, elevations, and sections.
  • Basic understanding of drafting principles and construction documentation.
  • Willingness to learn millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, hardware, and construction methods is an advantage but not required.
  • Familiarity with AWI standards is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, or a related technical field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good problem-solving and learning skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with senior designers and project managers.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage assigned work and meet project deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to develop technical skills in a production-oriented environment.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to build a career in North American millwork drafting and design.
  • Hands-on training and guidance from experienced designers and engineers.
  • Exposure to real-world millwork and manufacturing projects.
  • Opportunity to learn industry standards, construction methods, and production-ready drafting.
  • Growth opportunities based on performance and technical development.
