Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping as per Australian accounting standards
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Manage Australian taxation compliance including BAS, GST, PAYG, and Income Tax returns
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, payroll, and balance sheet items
- Assist in audits and liaise with external accountants or auditors
- Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and deadlines
- Support financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting activities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified CPA Australia / CA equivalent
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Hands-on experience with Australian clients/accounts
- Experience in BAS, GST, payroll processing, and tax filings
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Preferred Profile
- Experience working in outsourcing/KPO/accounting firms handling Australian clients
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in financial reporting
