  • Handle monthly and year-end reconciliations, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  • Perform tax calculations, adjustments, and deferred tax reconciliations accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax laws, superannuation rules, and ATO updates.
  • Liaise with Australian clients, auditors, and internal teams for tax planning, clarifications, and compliance support.

  • Assist senior managers or partners in reviewing workpapers, preparing tax planning reports, and client communication.
  • Manage multiple client portfolios with a focus on quality, timeliness, and confidentiality.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Australian GST, PAYG, FBT, and Superannuation.
  • Solid understanding of AASB and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations).
  • Experience in using cloud-based accounting tools like Xero, QuickBooks Online, or MYOB Essentials.

Professional & Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
