Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audit Assurance role based in Egmore. The role involves planning and executing statutory, tax, and internal audits under the guidance of senior team members and partners. Daily tasks include reviewing financial records and supporting documents, testing internal controls, verifying compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards, and preparing working papers and schedules. The professional will assist in drafting audit reports, identifying control weaknesses, and recommending improvements to clients. The role also includes coordinating with client stakeholders, managing timelines, and maintaining proper documentation for all engagements.
Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess risks, and evaluate internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Finance and Financial Statements, including understanding of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and related disclosures.
  • Sound knowledge of Auditing principles, standards, and procedures, with the ability to apply them in practical engagements.
  • Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members and to prepare clear reports.
  • Relevant academic background such as a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field; progress toward CA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with accounting and audit software tools, and strong MS Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail, professional ethics, and ability to meet deadlines in a structured, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to changing regulations, and stay updated on accounting and auditing standards.
