Audit Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Assistant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, accounting, and other financial and regulatory compliance assignments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in conducting Statutory Audits, Internal Audits and Tax Audits.
2. Verify books of accounts, vouchers, invoices, bank statements and supporting documents.
3. Perform vouching and verification of income, expenses, assets and liabilities.
4. Assist in preparation of audit working papers and audit reports.
5. Conduct bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
6. Assist in GST and Income Tax audits and related compliances.
7. Verify GST returns, TDS returns and other statutory records.
8. Identify discrepancies and report audit observations to seniors.
9. Assist in preparation of financial statements, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account.
10. Coordinate with clients for obtaining necessary information and documents.
11. Maintain proper audit documentation and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Accounting and Auditing.
• Knowledge of GST and Income Tax provisions.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Tally Prime / accounting software.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and work on multiple assignments.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Com / M.Com graduates or CA Inter candidates.
• Freshers and candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience may apply.
• CA Articleship experience will be an added advantage.
