Job Description

We're actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Audiologist to join our client's team through Acme Services. This vital role involves comprehensive hearing assessment, fitting of hearing aids, and educating patients on their auditory needs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various audiological tests, adept at patient counseling and sales, and capable of fostering strong relationships with doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hearing Assessment & Screening: Conduct thorough screening of the ear and perform hearing assessment for all incoming patients.
  • Audiometry & Reporting: Execute Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) and prepare detailed reporting for all cases that require or are advised for this test. Additionally, perform Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) testing and associated reporting.
  • Patient Counseling & Sales: Effectively explain to the customer/patient their need for a Hearing Aid, and skillfully sell appropriate devices to them.
  • Hearing Aid Management: Conduct Hearing Aid trials and ensure proper Hearing Aid fitment based on individual customer needs and demands.
  • Customization: Take accurate ear molds for the precise customization of hearing aids.
  • Tele-audiometry (Flexibility): Be flexible and prepared to conduct Tele-audiometry tests (virtually) when needed, ensuring remote patient care.
  • Professional Engagement: Foster strong relationships through Doctor and other staff engagement in the premises/nearby healthcare facilities, facilitating referrals and collaborations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in screening of the ear and hearing assessment.
  • Expertise in Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) and Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE), including accurate reporting.
  • Strong patient counseling skills to explain the need for Hearing Aids and convert consultations into sales.
  • Experience with Hearing Aid trial and fitment.
  • Skill in taking ear molds for custom hearing aids.
  • Flexibility to perform Tele-audiometry tests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for Doctor and other staff engagement.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or certification in Audiology.
  • Proven experience in performing hearing assessments and fitting hearing aids.
  • Demonstrable sales acumen and patient engagement skills.
