Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Audio Testing Engineer with experience in manual and automation testing of AI-based audio and multimedia systems. The role involves validating audio performance, codec efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output across various platforms while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automation testing of AI-based audio features for quality, clarity, and adaptability
- Evaluate codec performance (AAC, MP3, Dolby, DTS, H.264, HEVC) for playback quality, latency, and audio-video synchronization
- Use GStreamer pipelines and multimedia debugging tools to analyze data flow and identify issues
- Conduct advanced audio testing using tools like Audio Precision and SoundCheck
- Perform acoustic and multimedia performance measurements (frequency response, THD, SNR, loudness, lip-sync, spatial imaging)
- Collaborate with AI, acoustic, and software teams to resolve issues and optimize performance
- Support Dolby/DTS certification and compliance testing
- Perform requirement analysis, test case design, and test case preparation
- Participate in test planning, risk analysis, and release readiness reviews
- Manage defects, track issues, and ensure timely resolution
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to process and documentation improvements
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong experience in audio and multimedia testing (manual & automation)
- Knowledge of audio codecs (AAC, MP3, Dolby, DTS, H.264, HEVC)
- Hands-on experience with GStreamer and multimedia debugging tools
- Experience with audio testing tools such as Audio Precision and SoundCheck
- Understanding of acoustic measurements and audio quality parameters (THD, SNR, etc.)
- Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
