Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR
  • Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
  • *Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Masters = one year) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in Acoustics or Acoustics background with an understanding of related standards Hands-on experience with Audio Analyzers - Head Acoustics, Audio Precision, B&K etc.3+ years of experience in a lab environment, working on Anechoic/ Acoustic setups and calibration(microphones, speakers, calibrators etc.)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs organizational or low-level development and process and/or product test support tasks. Executes modifications and revisions of electronic parts, software, system, components or circuitry with some supervision.
  • Provides layout and design support for engineers and recommendations for midsized projects with some guidance.
  • Installs, upgrades, configures, and helps operate company products and/or components based on specifications, tolerances and reliability. Monitors product performance and analyzes moderately complex failures or malfunctions.
  • Gathers and integrates data and information from stakeholders to understand simple specifications and develop basic solutions.
  • Collaborates with individuals inside own team and across other teams to complete project work while managing and executing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
  • Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
