Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audio Engineering Faculty position based at the Universal Ai University campus in Karjat. The faculty member will design, update, and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in audio engineering, sound design, music production, and related areas, ensuring alignment with current industry standards and emerging technologies. Daily responsibilities include preparing and conducting lectures, labs, and studio sessions; supervising student projects and portfolios; and assessing student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations. The role involves managing and maintaining audio labs and studios, including hardware and software setups, and ensuring safe, effective use of equipment. The faculty member will also contribute to curriculum development, participate in academic committees, engage in research or creative practice, collaborate with industry partners for guest sessions and internships, and provide mentoring and academic advising to students.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in audio engineering, including recording, mixing, mastering, live sound, and studio operations.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs and tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, plug-ins, virtual instruments, and audio interfaces).
  • Applied knowledge of acoustics, signal flow, signal processing, microphones, monitoring systems, and audio hardware integration.
  • Demonstrated teaching, training, or mentoring experience, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to learners at different levels.
  • Experience in curriculum design, lesson planning, and assessment methods aligned with learning outcomes and industry expectations.
  • Professional experience in the audio, music, film, gaming, broadcast, or media production industries is highly preferred.
  • Ability to integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and immersive audio into teaching and practice is an advantage.
