Job Description

Role Summary

Design and deliver advanced audio systems and algorithms—spanning audio feature extraction, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and speech enhancement—using a combination of signal processing and machine learning for deployment on Qualcomm platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end audio solutions including audio features, AEC, noise suppression, and speech enhancement algorithms
  • Create, implement, and commercialize DSP- and ML-based audio algorithms
  • Optimize fixed-point and floating-point implementations for embedded platforms
  • Build, evaluate, quantize, and deploy efficient audio ML models across CPU, GPU, and NPU
  • Validate audio subsystem performance for robustness, power, and stability
  • Conduct acoustic measurements, demos, and system-level testing
  • Collaborate with R&D, systems, and customer teams to support integration and commercialization

Required Skills

  • Strong foundation in audio signal processing and audio feature extraction
  • Hands-on experience with Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression, and Speech Enhancement
  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++, MATLAB, and Python
  • Experience with embedded DSP platforms, real-time systems, and software optimization
  • Knowledge of audio ML architectures (CNNs, RNNs, U-Nets, Transformers)
  • Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering or related field with relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm audio frameworks, SDKs, and tools is a plus
