Job Description
The ATW Stringer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the
automatic stringer machine used to weld solar cells together to form a solar module. This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation:
- Operate the ATW stringer machine to perform precise tabbing and welding of solar cells.
- Set up the machine according to the specifications for different solar module types.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production standards.
- Inspect solar cells for defects such as misalignment, poor welding, or damaged cells.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance to keep the machine in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or quality issues promptly.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload solar cells and ribbons into the machine as per production requirements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Process Monitoring:
- Track production metrics, including output rates, defect rates, and machine performance.
- Report any deviations or issues to the shift supervisor or maintenance team.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols while operating machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation:
- Maintain records of machine performance, production outputs, and quality checks.
- Document any issues, maintenance activities, or process changes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.
