Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Managing Consultant with deep expertise in Cost Optimization across IT and business domains. The ideal candidate will lead strategic initiatives to optimize technology spend, streamline application portfolios, and enhance financial governance. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Optimization Strategy & Execution : Develop and implement cost optimization strategies across IT infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Drive initiatives in FinOps, license cost optimization, and application portfolio rationalization. Conduct contract analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.
- Financial Governance & Modeling : Build and validate commercial models and business cases to support optimization recommendations.
Provide insights on cost drivers and develop actionable plans for sustainable savings.
- Process & Framework Development : Apply Software Asset Management (SAM) principles to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Establish governance frameworks for financial accountability and transparency.
- Tools & Technology Enablement : Utilize tools such as Apptio and other cost management platforms for analysis and reporting.
Leverage data analytics to identify trends and forecast cost implications.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cost optimization initiatives with business objectives.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and client executives.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Proven experience in IT cost optimization, including FinOps, license management, and application portfolio rationalization.
- Strong background in contract analysis and vendor negotiations.
- Knowledge of SAM processes and compliance frameworks.
- Expertise in commercial modeling and business case development.
- Hands-on experience with Apptio or similar cost management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with domain-specific applications in the Oil & Gas sector.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Certifications in FinOps, SAM, or relevant cost optimization frameworks are a plus.
