Tableau Developer (Azure / SQL Server Environment)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and analytics solutions in a Microsoft-centric environment leveraging Azure and SQL Server. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Tableau visualization, SQL Server data modeling, and Azure-based data platforms.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and BI teams to transform raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business users.
- Connect Tableau to SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and other enterprise data sources.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure efficient data models and pipelines.
- Develop and maintain Tableau data sources, extracts, and live connections.
- Implement best practices for dashboard design, performance tuning, and data governance.
- Work with stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor and improve dashboard performance, refresh schedules, and data accuracy.
- Support deployment and maintenance of reports on Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud.
- Ensure data security, role-based access control, and compliance with organizational standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills :
- Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud
- Strong SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL
- Experience with Azure data services, such as :
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Experience in data modeling (Star Schema, Dimensional Modeling)
- Understanding of ETL / ELT processes
Additional Technical Exposure (Preferred)
- Power BI exposure
- Azure DevOps for deployment pipelines
- Python or scripting for automation
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
Experience Requirements
- 4 - 8 years experience in BI / Analytics development
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Tableau development
- Experience working with Azure-based data platforms
- Experience supporting enterprise BI reporting environments

Bachelor's degree in :
