ATG Commerce Consultant

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle ATG Web Commerce or ATG Commerce.
• Strong experience with ATG frameworks and components, including:
• Nucleus
• Dynamo Handlers
• Form Handlers
• Droplets
• Repositories
• Pipelines
• Scenarios or workflows
• Business Control Center
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing Spring Boot applications and Java microservices.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and API integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce processes, including catalog management, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, orders, payments, inventory, fulfillment, and customer profiles.
• Experience integrating ATG with ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, payment, tax, search, and logistics platforms.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably Oracle Database.
• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, JDBC, or comparable persistence technologies.
• Familiarity with Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
• Experience with application servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, or Tomcat.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, API gateways, service discovery, and fault-tolerance patterns.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support ecommerce solutions using Oracle ATG Web Commerce.
• Customize ATG modules, including Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Inventory, Order Management, Profile, and Customer Service Center.
• Develop and maintain ATG repositories, Nucleus components, form handlers, droplets, pipelines, workflows, and business rules.
• Build scalable Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Integrate ATG with ERP, OMS, CRM, PIM, payment gateways, tax engines, search platforms, and third-party services.
• Develop and maintain synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, messaging, and streaming platforms.
• Design APIs and microservices for product, pricing, inventory, cart, checkout, customer, order, and fulfillment processes.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and database integrations for transactional and reporting needs.
• Troubleshoot application defects, integration failures, performance bottlenecks, data issues, and production incidents.
• Implement caching, connection pooling, asynchronous processing, and other performance optimization techniques.
• Support application security, authentication, authorization, secure API design, and data-protection practices.
