Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Astronomy Educator, based in Chennai. The role involves planning and delivering astronomy and space science lessons, conducting hands-on activities, and engaging students with interactive teaching methods. The Astronomy Educator will also provide training for educational programs, facilitate workshops, and foster curiosity in astronomy by utilizing modern teaching tools and resources. Collaboration with schools and other institutions to implement customized astronomy programs is a key part of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Education methodologies
- Proficiency in Communication and the ability to effectively engage with diverse age groups
- Experience in Teaching or Training, ideally with a focus on science or astronomy
- Passion for science, astronomy, and space education
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field; a background in Astronomy is highly preferred
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and travel to partner schools or institutions as required
