Job title: Assistant Vice President - Performance and Reward Consultant
Purpose Of The Role
As a Benefits & Reward Portfolio Specialist, you will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSBC's benefits and reward programmes. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping new-age benefits, reviewing and updating existing policies, and ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and impactful. Role holder will cover dual accountability of P&R relationship management and leading functional work-streams.
In This Role, You Will
Benefits & Reward Programme Management
- Be a strategic reward partner extending strategic support in ideation, design, and launch of innovative benefits and reward initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs and market trends.
- Conduct regular reviews and benchmarking of existing benefit and reward policies, making recommendations for enhancements or new offerings.
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses and business cases for proposed changes, ensuring programmes are effective and sustainable.
Stakeholder Navigation & Relationship Management
- Act as a strategic partner to HR Business Partners and business leaders, providing expert advice on benefits and reward matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across a complex, matrixed organisation, ensuring alignment and buy-in for key initiatives.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors and market data providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and value for money.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance reviews to support benefit and reward programme objectives.
Policy Change & Compliance
- Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments impacting benefits and reward programmes.
- Lead the review and update of policies to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
- Support the creation and implementation of new benefit policies, including digital health, flexible benefits, and wellbeing anchors.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and analyse key reward and benefit metrics, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports to senior stakeholders, highlighting programme effectiveness and recommendations.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Lead the implementation of P&R initiatives for the client group. Examples include the creation of global objectives and managing recognition programmes.
- Responsible for ongoing monitoring of all key P&R metrics, highlighting issues, trends and providing costbenefit analysis of P&R initiatives - Maintain P&R knowledge by keeping abreast of published materials, competitor practice, external market developments and trends and legislative and regulatory developments.
- Responsible for providing effective, relevant, and timely reporting, analysis and insights to support the execution of P&R policies and programs - Responsible for ongoing monitoring of all key P&R metrics, highlighting issues, trends.

- Strong understanding of reward and benefit legislation, statutory requirements, and market trends.
- Experience in benefit and reward programme design, policy review, and vendor management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills in a matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- High regard for confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
