Roles and Responsibilities

• Teaching and Student Support:
• Teach and support students using a learner-centered approach consistent with university guidelines.
• Actively participate in student inductions, including preparing key information for students.
• Play an active role in the pastoral care and supervision of students.
• Curriculum Development and Delivery:
• Contribute to curriculum learning and development.
• Assist with the operational delivery of courses/modules and proactively address emerging issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Plan and deliver the curriculum using appropriate media, including the use of IT.
• Engage in critical reflection on practice to improve performance.
• Contribute to innovation in learning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum development to meet learner needs.
• Research and Scholarly Activity:
• Identify and conduct research and scholarly activity relevant to the lecturing role.
• Integrate research into teaching and learning.
• Student Feedback and Guidance:
• Provide effective feedback, non-biased support, and guidance to students.
• Translate professional experience into the academic context as appropriate.
• Professional Development and Supervision:
• Regularly engage in staff development activities related to teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Supervise individual and group-based student activities, such as dissertations, industrial placements, and work-based projects
