Asst Manager- Wireline Migration Specialist (Marconi System X Switches, POTS, Centrex, BRI, PRI)

Job Summary:

The System X Migration Specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of applications, data, and configurations from System X. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for executing Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD) within telecom networks, including System X legacy switching platforms and Meta Switch VoIP/softswitch systems, covering endtoend provisioning, routing configuration, subscriber management, and service feature activation

• Assess current system architecture and dependencies.
• Develop detailed migration plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
• Perform data and application migration
• Collaborate on decommissioning plans, cutovers, and customer communications
• Conduct pre- and post-migration testing to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive migration documentation, including procedures and lessons learned
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure compliance and smooth migration
• Proven experience in system migration projects (preferably System X or similar platforms).
• Configure and maintain SIP trunks, SS7 links, numbering plans, translations, LCR.
• Manage voice peering, emergency call routing, lawful intercept, and resilience designs
• Decommissioning of System X Post migration
• Extracting subscriber dump with Features and Reconciliation with Provisioning and Target switch
• Coordination with Core, TX, Field team and all stake holders during migration
