Assistant Manager – Production

Industry: Furniture / Retail Interior

Location: Bhiwandi, Thane

Experience: 6–10 Years

Employment Type: Full-Time | Work from Office

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor day-to-day production activities for wooden furniture manufacturing.
Plan production schedules and ensure timely achievement of production targets.
Supervise production supervisors, carpenters, machine operators, and helpers.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, machines, and resources.
Monitor production quality as per drawings, specifications, and standards.
Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, QC, and Dispatch teams.
Control production wastage, rework, delays, and operational issues.
Implement and maintain SOPs, 5S, safety, and workplace discipline.
Prepare daily/weekly production reports and provide updates to management.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of wooden furniture manufacturing and production processes.
Hands-on knowledge of carpentry, cutting, CNC, edge banding, assembly, and finishing.
Strong manpower handling and production planning skills.
Good problem-solving, coordination, and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, or related field preferred.
