Role Description This full-time, on-site role based in Dahej, Gujarat involves managing organic pigment dispersion operations across one or more responsibility levels (Assistant Manager, Manager, Senior Manager). The role includes overseeing production planning and execution for pigment dispersions, coordinating with cross-functional teams such as R&D, quality, and supply chain to ensure product performance and process efficiency. The selected professional will monitor quality parameters, safety, and environmental compliance, and drive continuous improvement in formulations, processes, and cost optimization. Day-to-day activities include troubleshooting technical issues, supporting scale-up of new products, maintaining documentation for audits and certifications, and engaging with customers or sales teams on technical queries. The role also requires mentoring team members, ensuring operational discipline on the shop floor, and contributing to strategic initiatives aligned with the company's innovation and growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of organic pigments, dispersions, and related chemistries, preferably within industries such as inks, coatings, plastics, or textiles.
  • Experience in production, process control, and scale-up of pigment dispersions, with familiarity in modern manufacturing practices and equipment.
  • Understanding of quality systems, ISO 9001/14001 standards, and regulatory or safety compliance (e.g., REACH) relevant to chemical manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, data analysis, and use of basic lab and testing methods for dispersion quality and performance.
  • Effective communication, team leadership, and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and mentoring staff.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities, manage projects, and support innovation in new products and formulations.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field; prior experience in pigment or specialty chemical manufacturing is highly preferred
