Job Description:
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing on Lithium-ion cells and battery packs as per national and international standards (e.g., AIS 048, AIS 038, IEC 62133, UL 1642, UL 1973, etc.).
- Conduct testing such as:
- Capacity and efficiency tests
- Life cycle tests
- Safety and Mechanical Test
- BMS functionality and communication validation
- Prepare test samples, fixtures, and setups based on standard operating procedures.
- Prepare test schedules and initiate tests as per the test requirements.
- Record and analyses test data accurately flag any deviations or failures to the senior team.
- Assist in root cause analysis of failed units.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols in the lab.
- Support in validation reporting and documentation for regulatory submissions and internal reviews.
- Test execution and monitoring during rotational shifts.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in lithium-ion battery testing labs
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of Lithium-ion battery technology and battery management systems (BMS)
- Hands-on skills in using lab equipment like Data loggers, Cyclers, environmental chambers, etc.
- Familiarity with testing standards is an added advantage.
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Willingness to work in a lab/testing environment with attention to detail and safety
