Financial Research
- Under our Financial Research vertical, we support reputable clients in the financial services industry including variety of buy-side and sell-side clients
- The scope of projects ranges from investment research (buy and sell-side equity / credit data, research and analysis) to corporate finance (pitch books, information memos, financial models and other deal / transactions related support work), investment opportunity analysis (market / competition landscape research, deal / transaction summaries, investment committee notes, etc) and various forms of investment analytics and reporting / dashboards / benchmarking

Associate Vice President (AVP) / Senior Associate (SA) - Financial Research
An AVP / Senior Associate at Axience is hired typically from peer groups or related backgrounds with a minimum of 5+ years of experience for AVP (for Senior Associate: 3+ years). The individual will work on financial / investment research projects with responsibilities that may include (but not be limited to):
- Support private equity clients in investment summaries, investment committee memos, sector analysis, company analysis, financial modelling and due diligence
- Support investment banking clients with preparation of pitch books, information memorandums / private placement memorandums, target identification, financial modelling, trading and transaction comps, industry research
- Support sell / buy side equity / credit research clients in initiating coverage, annual / quarterly maintenance of models and reports, sector studies and various thematic reports
- Take full responsibility of end-to-end execution of projects with low levels of required supervision (although seniors are always available for guidance)
- Be able to understand the requirements of complex financial and investment research projects
- Conduct thorough self-review of all work and be able to clearly communicate about the structure and content of deliverables to seniors
- An AVP / Senior Associate will be required to participate in client communication and talk clients through deliverables, as well as guide and review the work of juniors
Required skillset
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills (English)
- Quantitative analytical skills
- Ability to balance hands-on and hands-off approach
- Should be proactive in prioritizing and organizing tasks to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects
- Superior analytical, interpersonal skills and ability to dig deeper into problems and suggest solutions
- Ability to work on unstructured situations and projects
Required background
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience for AVP and 3+ years for Senior Associate
- Prior experience of working in KPOs / captive offshore units of international investment banks / brokerage houses will be given preference
- Experience in one or more of the following
- Sell / buy side equity or credit research with highly developed financial modelling and report writing skills
- M&A analysis (for private equity, corporate finance advisory / investment banking clients) – company and industry analysis, pitch book / IM / IC memos, financial modelling, valuations
- MBA from top tier colleges with a strong academic record (top 10% in class); CFA highly preferred
