Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical ServiceNow Tester with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories.
ITSM Core Focus: Perform rigorous functional, regression, integration, and system testing specifically for ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management, Knowledge Management, and Service Portal).
Automation Testing: Utilize the ServiceNow Automation Testing Framework (ATF) to build, maintain, and execute automated test suites to accelerate regression testing.
Defect Management: Identify, document, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools (such as Jira or ServiceNow Agile/Test Management). Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Upgrade & Patch Testing: Participate in ServiceNow instance upgrade testing (e.g., family upgrades, patch releases) to ensure existing customizations and configurations remain intact.
Collaboration: Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Data Validation: Validate data migrations, user access controls (ACLs), workflows, UI policies, and client scripts within the ServiceNow platform.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 2 to 5 years of dedicated experience in software testing, with at least 1.5 to 2 years specifically focused on the ServiceNow platform.
Module Expertise: Solid hands-on testing knowledge of core ServiceNow ITSM modules.
Tooling: Proficient with the ServiceNow Automation Testing Framework (ATF). Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus but not mandatory.
Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of ITIL processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Technical Familiarity: Basic understanding of ServiceNow configurations like UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Workflows to effectively isolate root causes of defects.
