Associate Video Editor - Tamil

Vedantu is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with 2–4 years of experience in editing YouTube content. The ideal candidate should be proficient in creating engaging long-form and short-form videos, possess a strong understanding of audience retention techniques, and be fluent in Tamil to effectively edit and review Tamil-language content.

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months)

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit YouTube videos, Shorts, Reels, and promotional content.

• Create engaging storytelling through video editing, transitions, motion graphics, and sound design.

• Optimize videos for audience engagement, watch time, and retention.

• Collaborate with content creators, scriptwriters, and production teams.

• Add subtitles, captions, graphics, and visual effects as required.

• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality video content.

• Maintain brand consistency across all video assets.

• Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and creative assets.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of professional video editing experience.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools.

• Experience editing YouTube content and understanding platform best practices.

• Fluent in Tamil (Read, Write, and Speak).

• Strong storytelling, pacing, and visual communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced content environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with YouTube creators, digital media companies, or content production houses.

• Knowledge of YouTube SEO, audience retention metrics, and content optimization.

• Experience creating thumbnails and basic motion graphics.

Mandatory Requirements

• Must be fluent in Tamil (Read, Write, and Speak).

• Must be willing to work from the Bengaluru office.

• Strong portfolio showcasing YouTube or digital content editing work.
