Your area of work:
D7 is the platform of Clear stream that offers innovative services to its customers for the issuance of financial securities such as shares, warrants and funds. In other words – without the Issuance services, there would be nothing to trade on the German financial market, and the supply will get short for the international markets too. The D7 IT Team develops the next-generation software that enables our business colleagues and customers to boost volume and processing efficiency and as a result to increase revenue and decrease operational costs.
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure production stability through expert incident management and clear stakeholder communication. The role will lead root cause analyses and proactively monitor system health by analyzing key metrics to enhance performance. Responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support seamless deployments. The ultimate objective is to drive automation, plan for capacity, and build a resilient and scalable operational environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Provides initial (L1) support for production environments, including incident triage, management, and resolution.
- Acts as the main point of contact during incidents, providing clear and timely updates to business owners and other stakeholders.
- Conducts post-mortems and root cause analyses to identify and implement corrective actions, preventing future issues.
- Proactively monitors system availability, performance, and overall health to preemptively identify and address potential failures.
- Manage and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines, DLT infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Engages in proactive planning and forecasting to ensure infrastructure resources meet current and future demands.
Your profile:
- University degree in computer science
- 9+ years overall professional experience in software and DevOps roles.
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented language (preferably Java) and ideally Spring boot
- Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes, experience with GCP (or other cloud infra)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Overview of CI/CD and overall infrastructure (Cloud WAF, security, encryption) concept, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton
- Experience with Microservice architecture
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools and JIRA
- High analytical mindset – You can actively listen and quickly understand arguments and goals of different people
- Excellent communication skills – You explain the IT topics that are understandable to people without an IT background. You do not hesitate to ask questions, express your doubts or kindly challenge ideas during discussions. You have no problem admitting and accepting mistakes.
- Capable of working independently – You are self-motivated, looking for opportunities to improve things or your own skills constantly. You take responsibility and are motivated to deliver.
- Team player – You can work with people of different backgrounds and personalities; you are happy to help and share your expertise. You appreciate the skills of others and ask for opinion or review easily.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills (German, French, Luxembourgish, or Czech is a plus)
- Previous experience in the financial sector
- Knowledge of Chaos Engineering concepts
- Experience with integration of Camunda process orchestration engine
- Familiarity with private/ public key management
- Experience with Kafka/MQ/OAQ
- Ability to motivate and steer people coming from different backgrounds (Dev, Business, Product etc.).
