Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Vice President

Company: CreedCap

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India — On-site, Full-time

Experience Level: 4–7 Years

About CreedCap

CreedCap is a specialised investment banking and advisory firm based in Bengaluru. Since 2010, we have worked with 70+ emerging consumer and technology companies across 200+ transactions — including Nium, Housing.com, Bounce, Cure Foods, StockGro, Jiffy.ai, HattiKaapi, DrinkPrime, Yulu, and many more.

We operate across four core verticals: Consumer (offline retail + consumer tech), Enterprise Tech, Healthcare, and Transportation & Electrification. Our guiding principles — Believe. Become. Benefit. — shape how we engage with every founder and every deal.

We believe that before the market validates. We become part of the business, not just an advisor on retainer. And we make sure the benefit flows to everyone who took the risk with us.

CreedCap Asset Management

CreedCap is not just an advisory firm — we put our own capital to work alongside the founders we back. Through CreedCap Asset, we manage private market investments for nine Indian family offices and run a proprietary portfolio of 20+ companies.

Recent investments include Good Farmer Food Concepts (Maverick and Farmer Coffee, Square Burger & Co.), Aceblend, and Organic Mandya.

Our broader portfolio includes: Nium (partially exited), Bounce, Cure Foods, StockGro, Jiffy.ai, HattiKaapi, DrinkPrime, DriveU, Freshworld, and Scroll.in EVRE, Geist Beer, SkinQ, and others.

We meet a founder early, we believe in what they're building, we invest. When they're ready to go to market for institutional capital, we lead the raise. That investor + advisor lens — having skin in the game on both sides — is what makes every conversation we have more honest and more useful.

Role Overview

The AVP at CreedCap runs deals — not deal support. You will lead transaction execution end-to-end across fundraising, M&A, and secondary mandates, manage the investor relationships you build personally, drive origination in your target sectors, and develop a team of 2–3 Associates who report to you. This is a role for someone who has spent 4–7 years learning the craft at a serious firm and is ready to operate with full accountability at a boutique where the work is visible, the clients are real, and the outcomes are yours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle deal execution on active mandates — from initial structuring and investor materials through due diligence, term negotiation, documentation, and close
  • Own investor relationships directly: build and maintain a network of family offices, institutional funds, and HNIs that you know personally, not just track in a spreadsheet
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients — manage founder expectations, handle escalations, and keep all parties aligned through the deal lifecycle
  • Drive sector-level business development: identify high-growth target companies, develop outreach strategies, and convert pipeline into mandates
  • Manage and develop a team of 2–3 Associates — prioritise their work, review their output, and build their capability over time
  • Own deal tracking and pipeline management across all active workstreams — surface risks early, manage timelines, and keep deals from stalling
  • Lead due diligence processes: structure the data room, coordinate management Q&As, synthesise findings, and flag commercial and structural risks
  • Produce and present investment collateral — investment teasers, investor circulation materials, strategic buyer and PE identification, and deal execution materials — at the standard required for institutional audiences

What You'll Work On

We work across the full capital lifecycle — from Pre-Series A rounds for founders we back early, all the way through Series F. No two mandates look the same, and we do not confine people to a single transaction type or sector.

Our four core verticals at the AVP level:

  • Consumer (offline retail + consumer tech) — growth equity, M&A, and structured capital for scaled consumer brands and emerging retail tech
  • Enterprise Tech — Series A/B and beyond for AI-native services, SaaS, and enterprise software companies
  • Healthcare — complex capital structures for consumer health, diagnostics, and mental health platforms
  • Transportation & Electrification — equity and structured capital for EV, mobility, and logistics players

Fundraise, M&A, and secondaries are all live at the AVP level simultaneously.

The cross-sector, cross-transaction-type exposure is not incidental — it is what makes this role structurally different from a vertical-focused position at a larger institution.

  • StockGro — Series B (Primary and Secondaries)
  • Aceblend — Series A & B (Primary and Secondaries)
  • Cure Foods — buy-side M&A (multiple acquisitions)
  • HattiKaapi — Series A, A1, A2 ((Primary and Secondaries)
  • Bounce — Series F

Qualifications & Experience
  • MBA/PGDM from a premier institution, or CA with equivalent deal depth and experience
  • 4–7 years in investment banking, PE advisory, or transaction advisory — Big 4 TAS backgrounds are actively considered
  • A track record of independent deal involvement — you should be able to walk through at least 2 transactions where you led meaningful portions of execution, not just supported them
  • Strong financial modelling capability: three-stage financial models, peer comps (comparable analysis), valuation, and industry analysis & research — and familiarity with definitive documentation (SHA, SPA, term sheets)
  • Proven ability to manage client and investor relationships independently — not as a deputy to a senior banker, but as the lead
  • Clear, precise written communication — you produce investor-ready materials that do not require heavy editing

Compensation & Career Growth
  • Market-aligned fixed compensation with a significant variable component tied directly to deal closures — not a discretionary end-of-year gesture
  • Deal-level performance incentives: strong execution and origination are meaningfully rewarded
  • Clear path to VP within 2–3 years for AVPs who develop origination capability alongside strong execution
  • Exposure to CreedCap Asset investment committee processes — directly relevant for those building toward a principal investing track

Why Join CreedCap

No vertical walls. At most institutions, an AVP in enterprise tech stays in enterprise tech. At CreedCap, you develop judgment across sectors and transaction types — and that makes you considerably more capable, considerably faster.

Direct MD access on every deal. The entire team reports to the Managing Director: no siloed verticals, no layered reporting, no organisational distance between you and the decisions that matter. At the AVP level, you are in the room for every consequential conversation.

The relationships you build are yours. The investor network you develop at CreedCap belongs to you — real conversations with real people, not CRM entries that reset when you move firms.

The dual lens changes the quality of the work. Because we invest through CreedCap Asset, our advisory comes from genuine conviction, not a pitch. We have sat on the same side of the table as the founders we advise. Every model, every investor meeting, and every term negotiation is sharper for it.

At a boutique, an AVP shapes the firm's output. Your judgment is visible, your contributions are credited, and a band structure or a headcount ceiling does not govern your growth.
