General Summary
The Case Management Associate will provide operational case management support to the US Underwriting Case Management function. Key responsibilities include case intake, documentation processing, system updates, requirement tracking, and follow-ups to support timely case progression and SLA adherence.
This role operates on a shift basis aligned to US Central Time to enable extended coverage. The position will be engaged initially as a contractor with a defined opportunity for conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business requirements (Within 6 months).
Key Responsibility
- Review, capture, and set up new underwriting cases received through designated intake channels. Prepare documents and cases for review, perform data entry across underwriting and workflow systems, and validate completeness and accuracy of submissions, supporting documentation, and data in accordance with established procedures, federal/state regulations, and defined controls.
- Process and complete underwriting assignments including ordering and tracking requirements, conducting OFAC procedures, researching incomplete applications, correcting errors, and completing case setup and imaging in accordance with defined procedures.
- Complete status updates across all active cases, maintain accurate case records and tracking, and escalate discrepancies, complex, or stalled cases to appropriate team members or supervisors as required.
- Initiate timely follow-ups with internal and external stakeholders on outstanding requirements and coordinate across underwriting, case management, and support teams to ensure seamless case progression and timely handoffs.
- Maintain established quality, production, and time service standards in accordance with each SLA and task, adhering to data governance and compliance requirements at all times.
- Support operational transparency by maintaining accurate status management and contributing to reporting activities as needed.
- Provide administrative support to department staff as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance on a shift-based schedule aligned to US Central Time (100 PM – 1130 PM IST), with an initial work-from-office period during training, transitioning to the approved hybrid work model thereafter.
Education And Skills
- Graduate degree in any stream
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS office
- 1-5 yrs of prior experience in insurance operations
- Experience in underwriting support, insurance, or shared services environment is preferred
