About Department The Operational and Digital Excellence (ODEX) team is a newly established, cross-functional task force within TresVista, focused on driving firm-wide transformation. Our mandate is to reimagine and elevate the way we operate — across internal support functions and client-facing teams — through process optimization, technology enablement, and digital innovation. ODEX sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology. The team leads high-impact initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and client delivery. This includes applying principles of process re-engineering, automation, and data driven decision-making, as well as exploring the responsible and practical use of AI. It is a highly selective and agile team made up of high-performing individuals who bring a deep understanding of our business, high integrity, willingness to learn, and a strong appetite for change. Role Overview We are seeking for a hands-on Junior AI Developer with a strong interest in generative AI and rapid prototyping. This role is execution heavy. You will build MVPs, experiment with large language models and AI agents, and help convert ideas into working solutions quickly. You will work closely with senior engineers, product owners, and domain experts to test feasibility, iterate fast, and lay the groundwork for scalable AI systems. This is not a research-only role. You are expected to ship prototypes, break things, learn fast, and improve them.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Translate complex business problems into technical architecture and implementation plans

▪ Design end-to-end solutions involving software components, cloud infrastructure, data flows, and AI/ML models where relevant

▪ Build quick proof-of-concepts or minimum viable products (MVPs) to test assumptions

▪ Run feasibility checks for AI/ML-based ideas using tools like OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or custom models

▪ Stay updated on the latest in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), software frameworks, and AI/ML technologies

▪ Implement workflows using LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent-based architecture

▪ Use modern AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, etc.)

▪ Assist in improving prototype reliability, latency, and cost efficiency

▪ Provide inputs on how MVPs can be hardened for production use

▪ Identify failure modes (hallucinations, prompt brittleness, cost spikes) and suggest mitigations

▪ Write clean, readable, and modular code

▪ Document experiments, assumptions, and learnings

▪ Use version control and basic CI/CD practices

Prerequisites

▪ Strong Python skills (non-negotiable)

▪ Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI use cases

▪ Familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings and semantic search, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma,Experience building APIs or services using FastAPI / Flask

▪ Solid understanding of NLP basics, model limitations and trade-offs, tokenization, context windows, latency, and cost considerations

▪ Ability to reason about model outputs critically (not blindly trusting them)

▪ Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

▪ Experience with Docker or basic containerization is helpful

Experience

▪ 1–3 years of experience in software development, data science, or AI/ML roles

▪ Experience working with LLMs, AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.), and orchestration tools like LangChain

▪ Prior experience in startups, innovation labs, or consulting firms a plus

▪ Prior experience building internal tools or automation using AI

▪ Exposure to agent-based systems, tool calling, or multi-step reasoning pipelines

▪ Familiarity with observability tools for AI (logging prompts, outputs, costs) and fine-tuning or LoRA (even at a basic level)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology (B.Tech) preferably from Tier 1 institutes (IITs, NITs, BITS, etc.)
