Job Description Summary:

The Associate Technical Support Engineer assists Rocket customers with questions and problems regarding the installation, setup, configuration and functionality of Rocket Software products. The Engineer will troubleshoot reported symptoms to aid in the resolution process either directly for the customer or to help guide the development team in providing permanent solutions. The Engineer will typically work as part of a team with limited direction

Basic skills required :

Operating Systems: Windows, Unix/Linux, basic of z/OS

Ticketing/ITSM: Hands-on with incident, problem, change processes and tools

Deployment: Web/application deployment experience (configs, logs, rollbacks)

Technical skills required:

Mainframe: z/OS operations, COBOL, JCL, ISPF

ETL/BI: Informatica, DataStage, Tableau (support and troubleshooting)

Databases: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server (admin basics, query troubleshooting)

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of technical engineering support
  • Preferred technical computer knowledge
  • Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
  • Available for some after hours, weekend and/or holiday work

Good to have:

Programming: Java, Python, C++, C# (debugging/automation level)

Cloud Understanding: Foundational knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP concepts
