This Position reports to:
R&D Team LeadYour role and responsibilities :
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Distribution Solutions Division in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Supporting in the planning and implementation of test plans.
Coordinating maintenance activities related to the equipment and tools used in the laboratory.
Identifying and suggesting solutions related to product non-conformities.
Assisting external certification inspectors during testing activities for ABB or external customer products.
Qualifications for the role:
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Electrical or Electronics and Communication / Electronics and Instrumentation
8+ years of experience in substation relay communication and cybersecurity standard against testing with experience in ABB products.
Experience on protocols such as IEC61850 (Ed-1 & Ed-2), Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus Serial, IEC 60870-101, 103 and 104 and DNP3.
Experience on different Network Topology like RSTP, Ring, Star, PRP and HSR.
Exposure to cybersecurity testing against the CS standards like IEC 62443 standards..
Knowledge on network analyzer tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal. Knowledge on time synchronization protocol like SNTP and PTP.
Knowledge on Serial communication RS232, RS485, USB etc.
Familiarity with functionalities and configuration of existing ABB products like 605 series, 615 series, 620 series, 640 series, SSC600, SMU615, COM600 and ABB tools like PCM600, Zenon, Micro SCADA.
