WHAT WILL BE YOUR MISSION AT WHOLSUM FOODS

You will work directly with the Chief of Staff, Product across both Slurrp Farm and Mille, helping the product engine run faster, sharper, and with zero balls dropped. You will be the right hand on every launch, every SKU change, and every founder review — turning ideas into shipped products and chaos into clean execution.

You will be responsible for driving the rigour of project management, stakeholder coordination, and consumer-led thinking across the NPD pipeline of two brands.

You will build a deep understanding of how an FMCG product business actually works — from category insight to costing to on-shelf — and you will grow into a product leader of the future.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

1. Power the NPD Engine

  • Project-manage new product launches end-to-end across Slurrp Farm and Mille — timelines, dependencies, stakeholder check-ins, no balls dropped
  • Translate briefs into trackers, trackers into action, action into shipped SKUs
  • Own the SKU lifecycle: new launches, MRP changes, pack updates, EAN creation, Easy-Ecom punching, rationalisation

2. Consumer & Competitor Intelligence

  • Track what's launching across the category — who, what, where, why
  • Build a sharp POV on trends, taste, formats, and white spaces
  • Bring fresh product ideas to the table that earn their place in the pipeline

3. Cross-Functional Execution (Speed is key)

  • Work with category, marketing, supply chain, finance, sales, and QCOMM to launch products faster
  • Chase the right people at the right time without being annoying about it
  • Solve bottlenecks before they become escalations

4. Product Performance & Iteration

  • Track sell-out, repeat, and channel performance for new launches
  • Build the feedback loop between what shelves are saying and what the pipeline should do next
  • Help kill, pivot, or double down — on data, not on attachment

5. Strategic Projects (Chief of Staff's Office)

  • Scope and run cross-functional projects — profitability, packaging optimisation, process automation, category deep-dives
  • Turn messy inputs into clean decks, briefs, and founder-ready narratives
  • Support founder reviews, townhalls, and category presentations with crisp, on-time work
  • Build a working understanding of GM, costing, and unit economics — enough to challenge a number, not just report it

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 1–2 years of experience in FMCG, startups, consulting, or consumer brands (food is a big plus)
  • Genuine passion for food — you read labels, try new brands, and have opinions on what kids should be eating
  • A natural project manager — organised, deadline-driven, allergic to loose ends
  • AI-native and Excel-fluent
  • Sharp writer — turns messy inputs into a clean deck, brief, or founder note
  • Has a POV and isn't afraid to share it — on products, on competitors, on what we should do next
  • Comfort with numbers — GM, costing, basic P&L; can build a model in Excel without flinching
  • Comfortable in 0→1 ambiguity — figures it out, brings options, doesn't wait to be told
  • Detail-obsessed but fast — catches the typos, the date mismatches, the wrong MRP
  • Bias for action — speed + ownership > perfection
  • Hustle mindset — willing to get hands dirty across functions (and in millet flour)
