Job Description

Test Planning and Documentation: Assist in creating test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design documents
Document test scenarios, test scripts, and procedures for both manual and automated testing
Test Execution: Execute test cases to verify software functionality, usability, performance, and compatibility across different platforms
Record and report defects, bugs, or issues found during testing using bug tracking tools
Regression Testing and Maintenance: Perform regression testing to ensure that previously developed and tested software still performs after changes or updates
Collaborate with developers to verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues
Automated Testing (if applicable):Assist in developing and executing automated test scripts using testing frameworks or tools
Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of automated test suites
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with software developers, business analysts, and other team members to understand software requirements and resolve issues
Communicate test results and progress updates to stakeholders and team members
Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous learning to enhance testing skills
Skills and Qualifications: Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing principles
Knowledge of testing methodologies (such as black-box, white-box, and regression testing)
Familiarity with test management tools (eg :JIRA, TestRail) and bug tracking systems
Experience with programming languages (depending on automation requirements) and testing frameworks is a plus
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
