Associate Software Test Engineer_GFU

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our client s quality assurance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure the delivery of robust, high-performing, and user-friendly software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement effective test strategies
• Conduct both manual and automated testing to ensure product functionality meets business and technical requirements
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for both frontend (web) and backend (API) features
• Use automation tools (such as Playwright) to expand and maintain test coverage
• Validate API responses, authentication mechanisms, and integration flows using Postman
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure a consistent user experience
• Identify, log, and track software defects; work with the development team to ensure timely fixes
• Contribute to overall product quality through proactive collaboration with engineers, designers, and product owners

Requirements Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 3-7 years of professional experience in software testing
• Strong grasp of API testing concepts with hands-on experience using tools like Postman
• Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks
• Some experience in frontend testing of web applications
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a fast-paced team
